Inez I. “Sue” Muston, 83, of Brownsburg, IN, formerly of New Baden, IL, died January 12, 2014 in Avon, IN. She was born December 9, 1930 in Salina, KS, daughter of Albert and Bertha (Shelton) Olson. She married Richard Lindsay “Dick” Muston on January 12, 1952 in Salina, KS and he preceded her in death on December 28, 1998. She is survived by two sons, Michael S. (JoAnn) Muston of Flushing, MI, and John A. (Pat) Muston of Mascoutah, IL; two daughters, Susi (Gil) Thibodeaux of Brownsburg, IN and Bea (Ron Renth) Muston of New Baden, IL; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by an infant son , Rodney Muston; and a brother and sister-in-law, William A. and Ernie Olson. Sue worked at Shield Drug/Prescription Plus in New Baden, IL for 35 years retiring as a pharmacy tech in 2005. While in New Baden she was on the board and volunteered at the New Baden Library. She was a faithful volunteer in Illinois for several charitable organizations. Sue was a member of the Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church in Avon, IN and was formerly a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden, IL. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, and traveling. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Friends may call from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association and will be received at the funeral home.
