Olson, Rachel

Rachel Rene Olson, 30, of O’Fallon, Ill. died Saturday, December 3, 2005 at her home. She was born on February 7, 1975 in Anchorage, Alaska, daughter of David and Barbara (Traw) Peludat. She married David Olson on December 19, 1995 in Belleville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2003.
She is survived by a son, David Olson II of O’Fallon, Ill.; mother and step father, Barbara & Harry Garner of Albers, Ill.; father & step mother David & Lori Peludat of Collinsville, Ill.; a sister, Candace Hancock and husband Jay of New Athens, Ill; half sisters, Allyson Peludat and Courtney Peludat of Collinsville, Ill; three step sisters and two step brothers; her grandmothers, Ruth Traw of Okawville, Ill. and Anna Peludat of Maryville, Ill; grandfather, Clifton Peludat of Fairview Heights, Ill.; step grandparents, Owen & Donna Mae Arney of Fairview Heights, Ill.; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bob & Maria Olson of O’Fallon, Ill.; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Wes & Diane Schooley of O’Fallon, Ill. and Robert Olson III of Virginia Beach, VA; and grandmother-in-law, Alma Olson of Bay City, Michigan. She is also survived by aunts & uncles and nieces & nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a half sister, Sara Katherine Peludat, grandfather, Willie Traw and step grandparents, Harry C. & Helen S. Garner.
Mrs. Olson was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from December 1995 until June 2004; she was a homemaker. She was a Graduate of O’Fallon High School, class of 1993.
As per her wishes, she was cremated.
