Osborne, Mary

Mary E. Osborne, 84, of New Baden, died Monday, November 26, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. She was born May 9, 1928 in East St. Louis, IL, daughter of Jeremiah and Emma (Switzer) Donovan. She married Edward Osborne and they later divorced. She is survived by her children, James Osborne, Robert Osborne and Michael Osborne all of New Baden, Diane Cona of St. Louis, Mo, and Patricia Finucane of Belleville; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Donovan and a brother, John Donovan both of St. Jacob. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Lewis, and a brother, Joe Donovan. Mrs. Osborne was a respiratory therapist at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville before her retirement. She was a former member of St. Martin ofTours Church in Washington Park, IL. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Gene Neff officiating. Friends may call from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the funeral home.
