Cheryl Lynn Paridon, 58, of New Baden, died Sunday March 15, 2015 at her home in New Baden, IL . She was born March 1, 1957 in St. Louis, MO, daughter of Roger Willis Caldwell and Alice (Woodford) . She married Tim Paridon on October 26, 1994 and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2012. She is survived by her children, Barry Cannaday of Belleville, Brandon Cannaday and wife Ann of New Baden, and Carley Owens of New Baden; three grandchildren: Noah Broeckling, Jacob Cannaday, and Dominic Cannaday all of New Baden; her mother: Alice Eggemeyer and husband Robert ; her siblings: Roger Caldwell and wife Gay of Oklahoma, Shelia Williamson & husband Douglas of Swansea, IL, Richard Caldwell and wife Julie of Fairview Heights, IL, and Jeff Caldwell and wife Susan Taylor of Trenton, IL; her step-brothers and step-sisters: Sandra Vann and husband Bob of Florida, Sharon Harper and husband Steve of California, Shirley Iwan and husband Robert of St. Libory, IL, and Robert Williams of Alaska; and many nieces and nephews. Cheryl worked as a respiratory therapist at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville. She was an avid golfer and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Cheryl enjoyed any time she had with her kids and grandkids, especially evening meals at her house. Mrs. Paridon was a very close friend of Bill W. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday March 19, 2015 at Hempen-Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service on Thursday March 19, 2015 at Hempen-Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
