Pat Frerker, age 85, of Carlyle passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Carlyle on September 1, 1930 the daughter of Richard and Mary (Schwierjohn) Farrell. She married James Frerker at St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle and he survives.
Mother of Robert Frerker, Barbara Cardwell (Terry), Cynthia Prince (Danny), and James Frerker (Stephanie). Grandmother of Michelle Edwards (Brian), Teresa Wellen (Chad), Sarah and Jack Frerker. Great- grandmother of Drew and Meghan Edwards, Eli and Harlow Wellen. Sister of Michael Farrell and sister-in-law of Mary “Gee” Farrell.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard “Dick” Farrell and Jerome “Jerry” Farrell, Sister-in-law Virginia “Gin” Farrell, and nephew, Rick Farrell.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle, St. Ann’s Altar Sodality and the Ladies Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She enjoyed working in her yard, an avid sports enthusiast, and most of all, spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her family was proud to hear the stories, from many, of her talent as a softball pitcher in her younger years.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating. In keeping with Pat’s wishes cremation has been performed. Private interment services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carlyle.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carlyle.
In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Pat’s honor to Heartland Hospice and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
