Paul E. Jones of Carlyle died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center at the age of 72 years. Paul was born on March 31, 1940 in Washington, Indiana the son of Norman and Evelyn (Hodges) Jones. On February 1, 1962 in East St. Louis, Illinois he married Frances Gonzalez and she survives in Carlyle.

Paul issurvived by his wife; a daughter: Stacy Robbins and husband Tony of Carlyle; two sons: Jeff Jones of Centralia and Brian Jones and wife Lisa of Huey; a brother: David Jones of Bonne Terre, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Tim Jones, Courtney Thoele, Stacy Jones, Chris Robbins, Jakob Jones, Chelsey Jones and Brittney Robbins; and 5 great grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents: a son: Mike Jones; a sister: Sharon Sussen; a brother: Kendall Jones; and a grandchild: Sarah Jones.

Paul served in the U.S. Air Force in the early 1960's and had worked for A.C.F. as a welder. When he lived in Cahokia he was active in the Quarterback Club. He especially enjoyed being with his family.

Friends may visit with the Jones family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Thursday from 6 to 8:00 P.M.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
