Peter Ardison

Peter Ardison Jr. of Clearwater, Florida died Monday, October 28, 2019 at Woodside Hospice Home in Pinellas Park, Florida at the age of 87. Peter was born in Collinsville, Illinois on July 9, 1932, the son of Peter and Mildred Ardison. He married Glennys R. Phelps on October 27, 1956 in Granite City and she preceded him in death on March 3, 2013.

Mr. Ardison is survived by two daughters: Vickie Kahre and husband Daryl of Sparta, Illinois and Beckie Eaves of Collinsville, Illinois; two sons: Pete Ardison III and wife Vickie of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Ed Gianfrancesco and Husband Dominic of Clearwater, Florida; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Peter was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Amanda Kahre.

Peter was born and raised in Collinsville, Illinois. He worked as a pipefitter at Granite City Steel until retiring at the age of 50. While working as a pipefitter, Peter also farmed and flipped houses. Peter was an avid outdoorsman whose passions were hunting and fishing. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Carlyle, IL where he enjoyed the next 30 years of his life. At the age of 85, Peter moved to Clearwater, Florida where he enjoyed deep-sea fishing with his son and family.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 at Zion Cemetery in Ozark, IL.
