Rakers, Daniel

Daniel V. Rakers, 68, of Damiansville, IL, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at his home. He was born on November 12, 1936 in Damiansville, son of George J. and Theresa (Breiner) Rakers. He is survived by two brothers, James Rakers and wife Jeanette of Mascoutah & Marvin Rakers and wife Anita of Damiansville; and two sisters, Lorrine Brandmeyer of Damiansville & Jane McManemy of O’Fallon. He is also survived by nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lillian Rakers. He was a member of St. Damian Parish and Holy Name Society. He was cremated at his request and private graveside services held. Memorials may be made to St. Damian Church and will be received at Hempen Funeral Home, 15 East Hanover, New Baden, IL 62265.
