Randy L. Pulver, age 62 of Beckemeyer passed away at St. Louis University Medical Center on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Mr. Pulver was born in Breese on December 22, 1954 the son of Lloyd and Vera (Hustedde) Pulver.
Randy is survived by his children: Cara Niemeyer and husband Tim, and Ryan Pulver and wife Jill all of Springfield; four grandchildren: Wesley and Eleanor Niemeyer, Cecelia and Rosalie Pulver and the fifth grandchild expected to arrive in August; his mother, Vera Pulver; a sister, Vicki Melton; and two brothers Dale Pulver and special friend Barb Kretzer and Keith Pulver all of Beckemeyer; his special friend Gina M. Jones of O’Fallon; a niece Jennifer Tubb and husband J.T. of Beckemeyer; a nephew, Cory Melton and wife Rae of Beckemeyer; great nieces and nephews: Hanner and Berlynn Tubb and Isabelle and Avery Melton; his former spouse, Sharon LeGrand of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Pulver.
Mr. Pulver was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, past president of the Beckemeyer Community Development Club, and founding member of the Washer Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music, playing horse shoes and just being outdoors in general. Mr. Pulver was always willing to volunteer and help anyone with projects or remodel jobs. Randy was the former Maintenance Superintendent for the Village of Beckemeyer and he recently retired after many years of dedicated service. His determination and devotion were put into many projects throughout the village and will be a lasting impression for many years to come. Randy enjoyed being a grandfather; he adored his grandchildren and loved his family more than anything.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 20, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Beckemeyer. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Beckemeyer.
Visitation will be from 3 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2017 and from 9 until 10:30 AM on Friday at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
