Raymond Gum, 71, of Keyesport, died Wednesday March 17, 2010 at Greenville Regional Hospital.He was born December 30, 1938 in Tamalco Township to Melvin and Grace (Mills) Gum; they preceded him in death.Also preceded in death by a daughter, Carmella Jo, and a son, Raymond Jr.He married Mildred Moss on June 17, 1961 in Ottawa, IL and she survives in Keyesport.Also surviving are 4 daughters, Verena Newton, Christina Long, both of Hico, Texas; Carla Haddleston of Naples, Florida; and Theresa Decker of Shepardsville, Kentucky. Three Sons: James Gum of Hico, Texas, Charles Gum of Marion, Illinois, and Raymond E. Gum of Shepardsville, Kentucky.Raymond was a coal miner as well as a farmer. He enjoyed coon hunting with his sons and cherished being surrounded by his family.In keeping with Raymond wishes he was cremated, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.Memorials can be made to the charity of donor’s choice and will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
