Helen M. Reinhardt, 94, of New Baden, IL died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Coral Trace Health Care in Cape Coral, FL. She was born May 14, 1913 in New Baden, IL daughter of Emil R. and Mamie M. (Buermann) Strotheide. She married Raymond "Chief" Reinhardt on November 3, 1933 in New Baden, IL and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1967. She is survived by a son, David G. Reinhardt and wife Dianna of Bokeelia, FL; three grandchildren, David R. Reinhardt and wife Jennifer of Jacksonville, FL, Ginger C. Keith and husband Bryan of Imperial, MO and Shane D. Reinhardt of Bokeelia, FL; and one great-grandchild Reese Ann Reinhardt. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman W. Strotheide and Emil S. Strotheide. Mrs. Reinhardt was a retired clerk at the New Baden Post Office. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, the Zion Adult Fellowship and the Women’s Guild in New Baden; the New Baden High School Alumni Association and the New Baden Senior Citizens. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden, IL with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in New Baden, IL. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the New Baden Lions Club and will be received at the funeral home.
