Dorothy A. Rensing, 81 of Albers, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born December 25, 1926 in Breese Twp. daughter of William J. and Agnes (Wellinghoff) Pingsterhaus. She married Paul Rensing April 9, 1958 in Germantown and he survives in Albers. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, William N. (special friend, Jennifer Milanos) Rensing of Litchfield, and Karen (Bob) Przygoda of Pinckneyville; three grandchildren, Andrew & Megan Rensing and Josie Przygoda; brothers & sisters, Pauline Holtmann of Edwardsville, Edwin (Catherine) Pingsterhaus of Germantown, Robert Pingsterhaus of Danville, Gregory (Florence) Pingsterhaus of Aviston, Joseph (Lucille) Pingsterhaus of Germantown; sisters-in-law & brother-in-law, Pat Pingsterhaus of Dodge City, KS and Rosie and Norman Endres of Germantown. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alphonse Pingsterhaus, Wilbert Pingsterhaus and Edward Pingsterhaus; a sister Frances Pingsterhaus and brother-in-law, Dale Holtmann. Mrs. Rensing was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish in Albers and a former member of St. Damian Parish and Altar Sodality in Damiansville. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2008 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home.
