Paul A. Rensing, 84, of Albers, died Friday, October 17, 2014 in rural Damiansville, IL. He was born October 26, 1929 on the family farm in Damiansville, IL, the son of August and Elizabeth (Santel) Rensing. He married Dorothy A. Rensing nee:Wellingoff on April 9, 1958 in Germantown and she preceded him in death on October 30, 2008. He is survived by his children, William (Wendi) Rensing of Litchfield, and Karen (Bob) Przygoda of Pinckneyville; three grandchildren, Andrew & Megan Rensing and Josie Przygoda; sister, Rosaline (Norman) Endres; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert Pingsterhaus, Gregory and Florence Pingsterhaus, Joseph and Lucile Pingsterhaus, and Pauline Holtman. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward Pingsterhaus, Wilbert Pingsterhaus, Alfonse Pingsterhaus, Dale Holtman, Francis Pingsterhaus, Katheryn and Edwin Pingsterhaus. Mr. Rensing served in the United States Army during the Korean War era. He was a member of St. Bernard Parish in Albers, and Post 252 American Legion in Breese. Paul was a lifelong farmer, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and with his grandchildren. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Fr. Jack Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers. Memorials are suggested to the Central High School FFA and the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the funeral home.
