Richard L. Frueke

Richard “Rick” L. Frueke, age 53 of rural Mascoutah passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born on December 11, 1967 in Belleville the son of Richard F. and Katherine “Kay” (Meyer) Frueke.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Terry Frueke of rural Mascoutah and a sister, Teresa Dunning of Aviston; nieces and nephews: Joshua Dunning and special friend Olivia Atkins, Jenna Dunning, Brittanie (Jesse) Skaggs and Dakota Sergerson, Derek (Darby) Jones, Nathan Vazquez,; aunts and uncles: Bill Reibold, Barb (Ron) Copeland, and Cindy (Ron) Mietzner; as well as many cousins and friends.

Mr. Frueke was preceded in death by his father, Richard F. Frueke; siblings: Deborah Birdsong, Joseph Frueke, Diana Vazquez, and Larry Frueke; nephew, Dustin Jones; aunts and uncles: Mary Reibold and Anna Lee and Bud Friederich.

Rick was a jolly and happy person with the biggest heart, he was very generous and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He loved his career as a truck driver and spent much of his free time with his family and friends.

Funeral services will held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Stephen Stark officiating. Interment will follow at College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden and on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.

Memorials made in memory of Rick are suggested to the charity of donor’s choice and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 15 East Hanover St, New Baden, IL 62265.
