Richard Earl Lester

Richard Earl Lester, 62, of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his home. Richard was born in Groveton, Texas on September 7th, 1953, the son of Eugene and Mary Francis (Hall) Lester. He married JoAnn Bruegge on March 9, 1992 and she preceded him in death on October 29, 2011.

Mr. Lester is survived by his son, Joseph Edward Lester of Texas; two grandchildren: Brianna Elizabeth, and Dominic Edward; a brother, David Lester of Texas, his in-laws: Robert (Victoria) Bruegge of Glen Carbon, Michael (Shelia) Bruegge of Champaign, and Anita (Luis) Martinez of Florissant, MO .

Richard was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed building and repairing furniture. He was an avid Top Fuel Racing fan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Nordike Funeral Home in Breese. Interment will follow at St. Dominic / St. Augustine Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until the time of services on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Nordike Funeral Home in Breese.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
