Karen L. Robben, 44, of Breese, IL, died Monday, October 10, 2005 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was born on July 25, 1961 in Breese, daughter of John D. and Kathryn "Sis" (Meissner) Raymond. She married Dan Robben on July 26, 1986 at St. Dominic Church in Breese and he survives in Breese. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, John and Kathryn "Sis" Raymond of Breese; her children, Derek Robben, Katherine Robben and Dylan Robben, all of Breese; a brother, Douglas Raymond and wife Nancy of Kirkwood, MO; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Robben of Carlyle; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Julie & Doug Isaak, of Breese, Virginia Biebel of Breese, Thomas and Connie Robben of Aviston, and Richard and Sue Robben of Breese; she is also survived by her nieces and nephews. Her father-in-law, Thomas Robben, preceded her in death. Karen was a member of St. Dominic Parish and Altar Sodality, CYO Diocesan President, Future Business Leaders of America Moderator, Prom Sponsor and past cheerleading coach. She was a Special Education teacher at Central High School in Breese. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at St. Dominic Church in Breese with Rev. Pat Peter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2005 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to Relay For Life or to St. Dominic Church and will be received at the funeral home.
