Robert Michael “Mike” Huite, 47, of New Baden, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born February 8, 1969 in Okinawa, Japan, the son of Robert C. and Linda (Mucha) Huite.
Mike is survived by his father, Robert C. (Judith) Huite of North Aurora, IL; his mother, Linda (Curt) Wright of New Baden, his fiancée, Jamie Williamson and her two sons, Kyle and Tyler Harbison all of New Baden; a sister, Christine (Steven) Sohnrey of New Baden; a niece, Ava Sohnrey; step-sister, Sherye Wright; six step-brothers, Curtis P. (Peggy) Wright, Scott (Laura) Wright, Todd Wright, Mitchell Wright, Shawn Wright, and Scott Dagenhart; three paternal uncles, Harry (Patricia) Huite, Edgar (Grace) Huite, and Jeffrey (Kay) Huite; he is also survived by numerous step-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles & Theresa Mucha; paternal grandparents, Harry & Virginia Huite; paternal aunt, Sue Lamczik; and maternal aunts and uncles.
Mr. Huite was a devoted Raiders and LA Kings fan. He enjoyed fishing and collecting knives and swords.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in New Baden.
Friends may call Monday, May 9, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 10 a.m. until time of services at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
