Roger L. Markus

Roger Markus, 63, of Aviston, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his home. He was born July 16, 1955 in Breese, the son of Louis J. “Bozo” and Marie L., nee Henken, Markus.

Roger is survived by his siblings, Carol Wieter, Bob & Polly Markus, Jim Markus, Ivan & Bonnie Markus, Sandy & Marlin Fix, Joan & Paul Jinks, and Dave Markus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Kathy Markus and Rita Markus; and a brother-in-law, Paul Wieter.

Mr. Markus was a cabinet maker for R&D Woodworking in Aviston. He enjoyed playing and listening to music.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at St. Theresa of Avila Church in Marydale with Deacon Charles Litteken officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston.

Friends may call Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 9 a.m. until time of services at St. Theresa of Avila Church in Marydale.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or HSHS Hospice and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 301 S. Clinton, Aviston, IL 62216 who is serving the family.
