Wilbert T. "Cackles" Rolfingsmeyer, 84, of Breese, IL born February 14, 1922 in Breese, son of August & Antionette (Sommers) Rolfingsmeyer, died Friday, May 19, 2006 in Caring First, Breese Nursing Home, Breese, IL. He married Vernell T. Reilmann May 6, 1947 at St. Augustine Church, Breese and she survives in Breese. He is survived by three daughters, Connie (Marvin) Potthast of St. Rose, IL, Nancy (Jerry) Lappe, Breese, & Linda (Herb) Tebbe of Highland, IL; seven grandchildren, Kelly Potthast (special friend, Brian Timmons), Chrisa Potthast (fiancé, Brad Lesser), Carrie Potthast (special friend, Tyler Kramer), Kimberly Potthast, Aaron Lappe, Megan Tebbe (special friend, Michael Junker), & Jared Tebbe; a great-granddaughter, Mikaela Junker, sister, Dolores Wieter of Breese; brothers, Delbert Rolfingsmeyer of Breese & Lavern (Mary Ann) Rolfingsmeyer of Breese; sister-in-law, Lorena Rolfingsmeyer of Breese; brothers-in-law, Melvin Walter of Highland & Joe Peppenhorst of Beckemeyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Rolfingsmeyer & Kenneth Rolfingsmeyer; sisters, Rita Walter & June Peppenhorst; brother-in-law, Vincent Wieter; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Paul & Rose Reilmann. He was retired from Alton Box Board in Highland, IL and for passtime he repaired bicycles locally for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Augustine Parish & Men’s Sodality in Breese. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2006 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to St. Augustine Parish or Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
