Ralph D. Siebert, 76, of Lebanon, IL died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at The Quarters at Des Peres in Des Peres, MO. He was born February 18, 1935 in Belleville, IL son of Arthur and Stella Rose (Valerius) Siebert. He is survived by two sisters, Bernice (George) Macke of Fairfield Bay, Ark. and Betty Lehr of Swansea, IL; nieces and nephews, Woodrow "Neil" Lehr, George A. (Ida Diamond) Macke, Gerald A. (Vicky) Macke, Debra (Tom) Seidelmann, Roger D. (Diana) Macke, and Patricia J. Macke; great nieces and great nephews; and two colleagues, Mark and Terry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a colleague, Bobby. Mr. Siebert was a farmer. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of St. Clair County Farm Bureau and the Midwest Bird and Animal Breeder Association. He was a graduate of Belleville West High School and was a member of the FFA and 4H Club. He loved his birds and had many different kinds. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 123 East Dee Street in Lebanon, IL 62254 with Rev. Dr. Don Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden, IL and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday, April 4, 2011 at the church. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Mercy Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
