Storment, Maxine

Maxine M. Storment, 85, of Breese, died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. She was born August 10, 1921 in Carlyle, daughter of Gilbert and Mildred (Caven) Foster. She married Alvin Hostmeyer on April 17, 1940 in St. Charles, MO and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1971. She then married Lawrence Storment on August 31, 1986 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She is survived by three daughters, Wanda Cummins of Breese, Judy Ratermann and husband Larry of Breese, Sandra French and husband Dennis of Highland; one son, Donald Hostmeyer and wife Sandra of Breese; one brother, Wilburn Foster of Carlyle; two sisters, Earlene Kruse and husband Robert of Beckemeyer, Carol Niemeyer and husband "Bajo" of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Foster; a son-in-law, Robert Cummins and a sister-in-law, Mary Jean Foster. Mrs. Storment was a homemaker and a member of the Breese Senior Citizens. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. Mark Buck officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 12 noon Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
