Stuever, Marcella

Marcella J. Stuever, 96, of Breese, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. She was born February 18. 1918 in Breese, daughter of Anton and Mary (Haar) Strake. She married Fred F. Stuever on August 31, 1940 at St. Francis Church in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1989. Marcella is survived by her son Fred Ray Stuever of Melbourne Beach, FL., and her sister-in-law Lorraine Strake of Breese, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Stuever was preceded in death by her siblings Ray Strake, Leona Mondt , Henrietta Gorchock, Agnes Strake, Florence Pschorr, Victor Strake, and Tom Strake and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Virginia Strake, Mary Ann Strake, Al Mondt, John Gorchock, Ken Pschorr, and Edward and Genevieve Stuever. Marcella was a member of St. Augustine Church in Breese A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. Chuck Tuttle officiating. A private interment will be held. Memorials may be made to St. Augustine Parish and will be received at the church or Hempen-Nordike Funeral Home, 150 N. Clinton, Breese, IL 62230.
