Sudholt, Leola

Leola A. Sudholt, 64, of Aviston, Ill., died Friday, October 14, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was born January 5, 1941 in Breese, Ill. daughter of Edward and Rose (Kuhl) Venhaus. She married Tom Sudholt on May 11, 1960 St. Augustine Church and he survives in Aviston. She is also survived by her children, Kelly Vaughan and husband Kenneth of Rockvale, TN, Derek Sudholt of Aviston, Todd Sudholt and wife Tracy of Aviston, Jana Eversgerd and husband William of Trenton, Amber Jansen and husband Chad of Aviston, and Brandon Sudholt and wife Shannon of Aviston; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Lillian Luebbers and husband Paul of Carlyle, Karen Campbell and husband Jerry of Swansea, and Linda Kay Schurman and husband Gene of Breese; one brother Marvin Venhaus and wife Janet of Breese; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Alvina & John Gantner of Highland, Lorene Sudholt of Aviston, David & Marian Sudholt of Damiansville, Floyd & Pat Sudholt of Aviston, Don & Nettie Sudholt of Trenton, and Bob & Marilyn Sudholt of Aviston. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edward Venhaus, in infancy; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Anton & Dora Sudholt; her step-mother, Henrietta Venhaus; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ernie Sudholt, Odelia & Arnold Trame and Betty Sudholt. She was a member of St. Francis Parish. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2005 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston, Ill. with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston, Ill. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2005 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2005 at Hempen Funeral Home in Aviston, Ill. There will be a prayer service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
