Tebbe, Marie

Marie C. Tebbe, 87, of St. Rose, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese. She was born November 20, 1919 in St. Rose, daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (Grapperhaus) Tebbe. She is survived by two sisters, Priscilla Marti of Greenville and Rose Tebbe of St. Rose; a sister-in-law, Florence Tebbe Goestenkors of St. Rose and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Clarence Tebbe in infancy, Ferd Tebbe, Edwin Tebbe, and Alphonse Tebbe; two sisters, Salome and Regina Tebbe also in infancy; a brother-in-law, Leonard Marti and a sister-in-law, Florence Tebbe. Ms. Tebbe was an employee of Schuette Stores for 40 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality, Daughters of Isabella Precious Blood Circle 718, and the St. Rose Development Club. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Rev. Henry Fischer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery in St. Rose. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 and from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. The Daughters of Isabella will pray the rosary at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made for masses and will be received at the funeral home.
