Dorothy A. "Dot" Timmermann, 74, of Albers, died Friday, September 1, 2006 at her home. She was born May 7, 1932 in Albers, daughter of William & Clara (Beckmann) Korte. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Wilbert Timmermann, whom she married on August 28, 1952 in Albers. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Carol Manfucci and husband Chris of O'Fallon, IL, Connie Loepker and husband Steve of Carlyle, & Ron Timmermann and wife Paula of Carlyle; six grandchildren, Abbey and Sarah Manfucci, Cassie and Lauren Loepker, and Nick and Jason Timmermann; two sisters, Adele Jansen and husband Ray of Albers and Loretta Trame and husband Edwin of Breese; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lou Korte of St. Rose, Arlene Korte of Damiansville, Valeria Korte of Aviston, Ruth & Leon Albers of Germantown, Bernice Von Bokel of New Baden, Rita & Frank Usselmann of Breese, Stan & Helen Timmermann of Breese, Richard & Anna Jean Timmermann of Germantown, Ollie & Jeanette Timmermann of St. Rose, Robert & Jane Timmermann of St. Rose and Larry Timmermann of Breese. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbert F. "Bert" Korte, Louis F. Korte, and Alfred Korte; brothers-in-law, Paul B. Von Bokel & Louis Grapperhaus and sister-in-law, Vera Grapperhaus. Mrs. Timmermann worked for Wal-Mart in the receiving department for 15 years. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Altar Sodality and the American Legion Post 1026 Auxiliary. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer and Rev. Lou Koehr officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2006 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. Memorials may be made to St. Bernard Parish or to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
