Tom Isaak of Carlyle passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
Tom was born in Breese, IL on October 10, 1938 the son of Henry “Hank” and Ruby (Cole) Isaak. Tom married Carolyn Means on November 24, 1960 in Carlyle and she survives.
Tom is survived by his best friend: Trudy Langenhorst; children: Kim Marlow and Chad Isaak and wife Jennifer; step daughter: Shelly Chostner and husband Andrew; grandchildren: Hannah and Maddie Beckmann, Paige and Molly Isaak, Dylan, Amelia and Luca Chostner; great grandchild: Bristol Bay Isaak; and a sister: Dorothy Peters.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Jimmy Isaak; a stepson: John Kleber; and a sister: Donna Wicker.
Tom was the longtime owner of Isaak Auto Body in Carlyle and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed mornings hanging out at Covered in Chocolate having coffee with his friends. Visiting with friends was one of Tom’s favorite things to do but spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter made him glow with pride.
A funeral service for Tom will be Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating. The interment will follow in Carlyle Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the Frerker Funeral Home from 4 to 8:00 PM or on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the time of services.
For those wishing to honor Tom with a memorial contribution, the family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
