David O. Tournear, 49, of New Baden, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Clinton Manor in New Baden, IL. He was born September 24, 1961 in Quincy, IL son of Marlin and Juanita A. (Meado) Tournear. He is survived by his guardian, Teresa Varel and her husband Tim and their children, Brent (special friend, Katie) Bales, Lyle Bales and Danita and Elizabeth Sandheinrich, and their grandson, Cohen; two sisters, Patty Manton and Rebecca Tournear both of Quincy; many nieces and nephews; and the loving extended family at Clinton Manor and Community Link. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Following cremation he will be buried in Quincy, IL with his family. Memorials may be made to Family Hospice or Community Link and will be received at the funeral home.
