Troy P. Moore of Beckemeyer died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his residence at the age of 70 years. Troy was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Randall and Kathleen (Thompson) Moore.
Troy is survived by his daughters: Jan Helfrich and husband Brian and Shannon Kreke and husband Gary, both of Beckemeyer; sons: Willie Pruitt and wife Kris of Carlyle and James Pruitt of Breese; a sister: Rusty Macky and husband Tom of Chicago; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Moore served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a retired mechanic. He formerly was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars while living in Chicago. Before his health declined he enjoyed bowling. Lately, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Tuesday from 5 to 8:00 P.M. In keeping with Troy’s wishes, following the visitation cremation services will take place. Private family interment services will take place in Beckemeyer Cemetery.
For those wishing to honor Troy with a memorial, the family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
