Vickie Rene' Harris

Vickie Rene’ Harris, age 62, of Breese passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Aviston Countryside Manor. Vickie was born on July 5, 1954 in Washington D.C. the daughter of Gerald “Jerry” and Louise (Arnold) Harris. She was preceded in death by her mother on November 1, 2012.

In addition to her father, Vickie is survived by her two sisters: Debby (Steve) Stewart of Clinton, MO and Cathy (Mark) Zollner of Hecker, IL; her nieces and nephews Jeanna, Jacob, Jared, Jeremiah, Sarah, and Stephanie (Cory) Muller.

Vickie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle. She always had a friendly and outgoing personality. Vickie loved playing cards and was an enthusiastic science fiction fan. She will always be remembered as a happy and cheerful women.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle. Interment will take place on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Vickie are suggested to the Special Olympics Illinois or to the National Autism Association and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
