VICTORIA ANNE COLLIER

Fearfully and wonderfully made is only one of the million ways to describe Victoria Anne. She was born into our family on Friday, December 16, 2016. With love and expectation in our hearts, we couldn’t wait to meet our sweet bundle of joy. Little did we know God had a different plan for this angel. She arrived at 3:42 in the morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese. This perfectly packaged present was only 24 weeks gestation in my womb but has been prayed for and expected for years. Mommy and daddy did not want to let you go but knew God has a plan for us, not to harm us, but to prosper, He gives us hope and future. Victoria Anna was born perfect in every way. As every mother does, I began by counting all of her fingers and toes, each as long as her brother Gavin’s and perfectly manicured. We can’t forget to mention the “Collier nose” it was evident she was going to look just like her big brother Parker. Her cheeks were just waiting to gain fat; I know they would have been the most squeezed cheeks in town. Her ears were perfectly placed on the side of her head, and all her physical attributes placed beautifully. She was a fully developed baby. With a heart and lungs and all the other things God designed for us, I couldn’t help but be in awe and that she was mine. The most amazing wonder was her smile. It was the biggest and best smile I have ever seen. She grinned from ear to ear and with lips this dainty; she could only have been designed by the master creator. He painted her in a soft pink color and designed her in His image, perfect.

My father-in-law told me something that will always make my heart smile about this day. He said, “when God designs a baby so perfectly, they have no business on earth, so he takes them to heaven to watch over us.” I’ve come to realize Victoria Anne was made too perfect for the earth and God knew she didn’t belong here. He decided to take her straight to her everlasting destiny. I couldn’t be prouder to be her mother and can’t wait to meet her again. I love you, sweet baby.

Victoria Anne is survived by her parents, Marvin & Savannah L. (Sheets) Collier IV of Carlyle; her brothers: Gavin and Parker Collier; maternal grandparents, Rick and Vickie Sheets of Carlyle; paternal grandmother, Tina (Kunkle) Brown.
