Vincent P. Lampe of rural Carlyle died Saturday September 20, 2008 at his residence at the age of 65 years. Vincent was born in Breese, IL on December 16, 1942 the son of Kathleen H. Hughes and Vincent F. Lampe. He married Judy K. Lovell on July 15, 1961 at St. Mary Church and she survives along with two sons: Mark Lampe and wife Renee of Carlyle; Brian Lampe and wife Tina of Copperas Cove, Texas. Three grandchildren; Allison, Rebecca, and Benjamin Lampe; and Mother-in-Law; Margaret Lovell.Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John Lampe; Father-in-Law: Leland Lovell; a niece: Traci Dede; and a special aunt Marie Hughes..Mr. Lampe was a member of The Clinton County Farm Bureau, the Illinois Beef Association, and was also a member of the Wheatfield Fire Protection District. He enjoyed trapping racoons, playing on the computer, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.Funeral services will be Tuesday September 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Teresa’s Church in Marydale. The interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Carlyle.Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Monday from 4 to 8:00 P.M. or on Tuesday from 8 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy can be made in Vincent’s memory to the charity of donor’s choice and will be excepted at the funeral home.
