Voland, James

James E. Voland, 63, of Centralia, formerly of Frogtown, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at St. Mary Hospital in Centralia. He was born March 23, 1946 in Breese son of Henry and Annabelle (Childerson) Voland. He is survived by his mother, Annabelle Holtgrave of Breese; a step-brother, Kenneth Holtgrave of Highland; and two step-sisters, Patti Nicholes of Maryville and Cindy Higgins of Highland; an aunt, Marcella Weiss of Highland and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Voland and his step-father, Charles Holtgrave. Mr. Voland was a farm hand and laborer at a steel factory in Centralia and was confirmed at St. John United Church of Christ in Breese. All services are private. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ and will be received at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese who is in charge of arrangements.
