Sandra Ann Wagner, 72, of New Baden, IL, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL. She was born February 12, 1942 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Frank Joseph and Virginia (Rogers) Bojak. She married Joseph M. Wagner on October 6, 1966 in Riverside, CA and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1999. She is survived by her son, Scott (Violet) Waelde of New Baden, IL; one grandson, Timothy (Tayona) Baugh; and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Natalie, and Timmy Baugh; three brothers, James Bojak and Rick (Janet) Bojak all of Salt Lake City, UT, and Bill (Karen) Bojak of Naperville, IL; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol & Robert Ballarini. Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker, a housekeeper at Clinton Manor in New Baden, IL, and also worked at Casey’s General Store in Albers, IL. She was a member of St. George Parish and the American Legion Post 321 Auxiliary in New Baden, IL, and also a member of the Wednesday Golden Girls Happy Hour Club. She enjoyed crocheting, sports, baseball, hockey, the Cubs, the Blackhawks, Nascar racing, and dogs. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Eugene Neff officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. The Legion Auxiliary will visit at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 321 Auxiliary and will be received at the funeral home.
