Walker, Anne Marie

Ann Marie Toennies Walker, 34, of Patoka, formerly of Damiansville, died Monday, February 1, 2010 at St. Mary Hospital in Centralia. She was born December 23, 1975 in Belleville daughter of Thomas Albert "Tom" and Darlene C. (Wegmann) Toennies. In addition to her mother, Darlene C. Toennies, her step father, Rich Toennies of Damiansville and her grandmother, Mildred Wegmann of New Baden, she is survived by her children, Josie Walker, Dakota "Cody" Walker and Katherine Whited all of Patoka; her fiancé, John Whited and his children, John and Alyssa Whited of Patoka; a sister, Christine (Allen R.) Netemeyer of Damiansville, two brothers, Robert "Bob" (Tammy) Toennies of Damiansville, and Thomas J. "TJ" (fiancée, Amber Vollmer) Toennies of Albers; her aunts and uncles, Herman, Jr. & Michelle Wegmann, Melvin & Alice Toennies all of New Baden, Alfred & Patricia Toennies, Louis & Angie Wobbe, Charles Goestenkors, Albin "Bones" & Darlene Toennies, Elmer Loepker, Marvin & Doris Toennies, Jerry & Bernice Toennies, and Allen Toennies all of Damiansville, and Marilyn Toennies of Breese; nieces and nephews, Nathan, Jayson, Kaylee, Gavin, Heather and Hunter; and her fiancé’s mother Ruth Whited of Patoka. She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Toennies; her grandparents, Herman Wegmann, Sr. and Albert "Bert" and Mary Toennies; an uncle, Ray Toennies and two aunts, Dolores Goestenkors and Katie Loepker and her step grandparents, Alphonse and Frances Toennies. She was a homemaker and formerly a member of St. Damian Parish in Damiansville. She was a graduate of Mater Dei High School class of 1994. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Damian Cemetery in Damiansville. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to her children’s education fund and will be received at the funeral home.
