Watts, Frank

Frank R. Watts, 73, of New Baden, died Friday, December 10, 2010 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. He was born May 8, 1937 in Johnstown, PA, son of Frank R. and Alda S. (Varner) Watts. He married LaVerne E. Carrier on July 28, 1956 in Johnstown, PA and she survives in New Baden. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kathleen D. Sinkey of New Baden and Colleen (Keith) Jermyn of Carrolton, TX; a son, Frank (Christina) Watts of Argyle, TX; three grandchildren, Justin (Krista) Watts, Stephen Sinkey, and Angela (special friend, Jeff Korte) Sinkey; two great-grandchildren, Trevor and Calvin Korte; a brother, Bryan Watts of Houston, TX; two sisters, Patsy Wyatte of Houston, TX and Karen Watts of Dallas, TX. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Stephen A. Sinkey. Mr. Watts was a veteran of the United States Air force. He was a retired hotel manager. Private services will be held. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to Zion United Church of Christ Building Fund and will be received at the funeral home.
