Wesselmann, Annie

Annie Catherine Wesselmann, 83, of Aviston, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Aviston Countryside Manor in Aviston. She was born March 22, 1925 in Carlyle, daughter of Bernard and Mary (Diekmann) Wesselmann. Miss Wesselmann is survived by her sister, Millie Wesselmann of Aviston and many loving cousins and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Wesselmann and two brothers, Raymond Wesselmann and Vincent Wesselmann. Annie was a member of St. Francis Parish and Altar Sodality. She was also a member and currently inner guard of the Daughters of Isabella Precious Blood Circle 718, the Joy of Christ Prayer Group, and the Ursuline Auxiliary in Belleville. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at Hempen Funeral Home in Aviston. A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. and the Daughters of Isabella will pray the rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Parish and will be received at the funeral home.
