Mary Ann Wiese, 61, of Breese, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Breese Caring First in Breese. She was born August 22, 1948 in Breese, daughter of Ervin and Dorothy (Liening) Wiese. Mary Ann is survived by her siblings, Eileen (Lavern) Thole and Rita (Thomas) Thole all of St. Rose, Kenneth (special friend, Darla Wintermann) Wiese of Breese, Barbara (Gregory) Brandmeyer of Damiansville, and Ruth (Mark) Hegger of Albers. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary Ann was a resident of Breese Caring First since 1971 and worked for Clinton County Rehabilitation Center. Before becoming ill she worked in housekeeping at the original St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was a member of St. Augustine Parish in Breese and was a graduate of Mater Dei High School class of 1966. While she resided at Breese Caring First she enjoyed listening to music, going out on excursions with her care takers and attending family events. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. Burial will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2009 and from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese.
