William T. Aldag
William T. Aldag of rural Carlyle died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center at the age of 77 years. He was born in Clement Township/Clinton County, IL on March 22, 1933 the son of Theodore and Louise (Johnson) Aldag. On September 6, 1959 at the Hahlen Lutheran Church southwest of Nashville he married Lorene Roesener.
Mr. Aldag is survived by his wife: Lorene; three daughters: Bonnie Kohrmann and husband Randy of Carlyle, Betty Barth and husband Chuck of Keyesport and Dr. Rose Ann McVey, Ph. D. and husband Jim of Centralia; five grandchildren: William Barth and fiancee` Becca Sprague, Bridget Barth, Brian Barth, Kurt Kohrmann and wife Jamie, and Lori Kohrmann; a great grandson: Camden Lee Aldag Kohrmann; and a brother-in-law: Norman Roesener and wife Berniece of Nashville.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Carol Ann Aldag and Lori Ann Aldag; and a sister: Ruth Droste.
Mr. Aldag was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman. He was a grain and livestock farmer and a member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau. He was very proud of having a centennial farm. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, achieving the rank of corporal.
Funeral services will be at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman on Monday February 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Stephen Krenz officiating. The interment will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoffman.
Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Sunday from 4 to 8:00 P.M. or at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday from 9 AM until the time of services.
The family suggests memorials to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
