William H. Tadlock of Carlyle (formerly Belleville) passed October 10,2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville at the age of 87 years with his loving family by his side. Bill was born on September 30,1927 in Odin, IL, son of Pearl and Blanche Tadlock (Holsapple). Bill married Doris Hacker on July 12, 1952 in Centralia, IL and she survives in Carlyle.
Bill is also survived by his 5 children: Cindy (Mick) Strovinsky of Florissant, MO, Jeanne Bardsley of Chippewa Falls, WI, Billie (Karen) Tadlock of Swansea, Tina (Jay) Murphy of Ridgeland MS, and Lisa (Michael) Barttlebort of Swansea; 10 grandchildren Michelle Meijer, Claudie Heimburger, Robbie and Ashley Hrdlicka, Sarah Tadlock, Kristina Bozoarth, Ali Tadlock, Kaitlyn, Anna and Abby Strovinsky; 7 great grandchildren; sibling: Virginia Buchhorn, of Odin, Bob Tadlock of Odin, Raymond Tadlock of Vandalia, Charlie (Lois) Tadlock of Mt Vernon, and Don (Karen) Tadlock of Severn MD; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill loved spending time with his family, family gatherings, traveling, vacations, camping, and family reunions. He was a huge lover of nature, (animals/pets, hunting, fishing, gardening, mushroom hunting), Nascar fan, avid reader, Euchre master, and snow birding in Florida.
William worked as a Master Mechanic and retired from Meyer Brothers in 1990. He served in the Military 1949-1952 (Guam and Korea) and was a member of the Trenton V.F.W. Post.
A Memorial Service will be at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle, IL on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Fr. George Mauck officiating.
Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home on Monday from 9 to 11:00 AM.
Memorial donations may be made to Family Hospice of Belleville Area, 5110 W. Main St, Belleville in lieu of flowers.
