Winkler, Jeanette

Jeanette Winkler, 91, of Breese, died Friday, February 8, 2008 at Breese Caring First in Breese. She was born on February 9, 1916 in St. Louis, MO, daughter of John G. and Anna (Hilmes) Winkler. She is survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Miss Winkler was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Anita McClanahan and a brother-in-law, Carl McClanahan. She was an inspector at St. Regis Paper Co. for 27 years and retired in 1981. She was a member of St. Dominic Parish in Breese. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. Ben Stern officiating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made for Masses or to St. Dominic Parish and will be received at the funeral home.
