Zehrer, Mary

Mary Zehrer, 93, of Breese, died Friday, October 13, 2006 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. She was born April 16, 1913 in Aviston, daughter of Ignatz and Lena (Hagen) Kruep. She married George Zehrer on April 18, 1944 at St. Augustine Church in Breese and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1978. She is survived by a cousin, Alvina Kruse of Breese and special friends, Betty Liening of Carlyle, IL and her family. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Kruep and Alois Kruep and a special friend, John Liening. Mrs. Zehrer was a former housekeeper at the Breese Nursing Home.
She was a member of St. Dominic Parish and Altar Sodality. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2006 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. Patrick Peter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 8 a. m. until 10:30 a. m. Monday, October 16, 2006 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to St. Dominic Parish and will be received at the funeral home.
